Hindi Font
You
can see the Hindi font in this website when:
- you
are connected to the Internet
- your
computer screen resolution is 800 x 600 (recommended),
and
- your
browser is Internet Explorer (IE) version 4.0
or above, or
- Netscape
version 4.03 or above up to Netscape version
6.0.
If
you have these browsers and are still unable to
see the font you may have to change
some browser settings.
If
you still unable to see the Hindi web pages, or
you have Netscape version 6.0 or above, download
the Hindi font. If you have a fast Internet
connection downloading will take only a few seconds.
If required, change settings
in your browser to view Hindi font as follows:
1. Open your browser (Internet Explorer 4.0 or
above, or Netscape 4.1 or above) and make the
following changes:
- In
Internet Explorer 4.0, click Tools and
Internet Options. Then click Security
tab and select Reset. Click Apply
and OK.
- In
Internet Explorer 5.0 click Tools and
Internet Options. Then click Security
tab and select Default Level. Click Apply
and OK. Then click View and select
Encoding and User Defined.
- In
Internet Explorer 6.0, click View and
Encoding. Then select More and
User Defined.
- In
Netscape Navigator 4.03 and above (up to Netscape
6) click Edit. In the Preferences
window select Appearances and Fonts.
Select Use document specified fonts including
dynamic fonts.
- In
Netscape Navigator 6.0 and above, after you
have downloaded the font, click View
and select Character Coding and then
User Defined. Then click Edit
and select Preferences. Under Appearances
select Font. Select User Defined
and from the Serif font dropdown list
select Shree708.ttf, the font you have downloaded.
Click OK.

Click Refresh or Reload before you
view the Hindi website again.
If
required download the Hindi font as follows:

Download font.
A dialog box appears.

Click Save. The Save window displays.

If you are using Windows 95/98 save the file
Shree708.ttf in the Windows/Fonts directory.
If you are using Windows NT save the file Shree708.ttf
in the WINNT/Fonts directory. If you
are a Linux user, follow the procedure for installing
true type fonts (see Linux help).

Click Refresh or Reload and view the Hindi website.
(Note: You may have to change
some browser settings)
